2024 marks the Year of the Dragon in the Chinese Lunar Calendar. In Chinese culture, the dragon (or Loong), one of the totems of Chinese civilization, is a symbol of auspiciousness, authority, and rarity.

春节期间，正在中国残疾人体育运动管理中心集训的残疾人运动员们仍按计划坚持训练。为夯实基础、提升队伍竞技水平，全面做好今年巴黎奥运会参赛准备工作，中国残联自2023年12月25日起组织田径、游泳、乒乓球、举重等18个项目在北京、上海、江苏等13个训练基地开展冬季集训，中国残疾人体育运动管理中心承担此次冬训中游泳、举重、硬地滚球、轮椅篮球等项目的集训工作。目前，正开展冬季集训的运动员392人、教练员71人、工作人员及辅助人员188人。
